Martin Talbot to Lead the Trust after a Successful Year

We are pleased to announce that after a successful year leading Dame Kelly Holmes Trust as interim Chief Executive, Martin Talbot will now lead the organisation as CEO on a permanent basis. Martin has been with the Trust for five years, and brings with him over 20 years’ experience of working in youth engagement including his role as Head of Programmes at Liverpool Football Club Foundation; providing mentoring opportunities for young people in the City of London; as well as being a founder member of the EY Foundation .

On the appointment, Martin said:

I’m delighted to become permanent CEO of this wonderful charity. Thanks to our brilliant team, our funders, our friends and our founder Dame Kelly, we’ve a brilliant 12 months. Highlights include holding our inaugural fundraising ball, the Champions Ball, as well as an epic trek to Machu Picchu in Peru with Dame Kelly and a team of amazing trekkers. I look forward to continuing to support our amazing team in putting world class athletes shoulder to shoulder with young people. I’m constantly inspired by the transformational positive impact our athlete mentors have on the young people we work with and for.”
